Part of my morning routine is going through my email and catching up on news and articles for the day. In today’s world of information ADD, it provides an experience not unlike how we used to read the morning newspaper. While the different email subscriptions fulfill different needs for my mind and body, together they help me navigate this world in a more informed manner. If you’re looking for something new, I welcome you to subscribe to any of these newsletters.

5 email newsletters that will make you more well rounded

OZY Presidential Brief

The OZY Presidential Brief is my favorite when it comes to a daily news brief. It covers stories from political to innovation around the word with a brief summary paragraph and links to read more. Unlike other news briefs (*cough* the Skimm), I feel like it doesn’t sacrifice substance for the sake of brevity. And as information addict, it still provides a different take from what other news outlets are sharing. And at the very least, you have lots of random knowledge to bombard your friends within casual conversations.

Shine

Shine is a text, app and newsletter described as a “daily pep talk in your pocket.” I often find myself sharing the articles with my friends as they provide tools for being more mindful and self compassionate with yourself as we walk this journey of adulting life.

DailyOM

I think I came across DailyOM when I signed up for a yoga class which I totally didn’t do. Then I stayed for the spirituality and wellness topics that I find very timely and inspiring. The best part is if you find yourself resonating with an article, you can save it for another day with one click from the newsletter.

Broadsheet

Founded by Fortune Magazine, Broadsheet labels itself as “The Dish on the World’s Most Powerful Women”. I don’t read this every single day, but I enjoy the woman-centered approach to today’s headlines.

Internet Brunch

Internet Brunch is an amalgamation of pop culture news, political headlines and very cute stuff on the Internet. Each “story” is about a sentence long with a link to see more. Millennial news for us, by us, if you will. If you don’t subscribe to anything else, I suggest this (you’ll thank me later).

Other than that, my inbox is an entire zoo. This January, I’ll be unsubscribing to emails that no longer serve me, but these 5 will definitely be staying around.
