About the Blogger
Hi! My name is Adedoyin. I’m Nigerian by origin, Mississippi by birth and Dallas by penchant for full-time employment and TexMex. I’ve been in the Dallas metroplex for 9 years and seen it burgeon full of transplants just like myself. In my spare time, I am a new (read: obsessed) pet mom to my chihuahua cocker spaniel mix, Roxy. I also spend countless hours (re)watching Parks and Rec, crafting and exploring local craft beer.

7.5 Books for Girls who Loved Gone Girl (And a Little Murder)
If you ask me what is my favorite book genre, I’d say “If you like Gone Girl, you’d love _______.” Sure it’s not a genre, but it’s a bonafide way for you to get me to read a book. I first encountered Gone Girl in my online book club and I was captivated from beginning to end. Unlike most, I found myself sympathizing with the main character the entire time. After all, he was cheating so he most definitely had to pay. And that was what you could say began my sordid love affair with psychological thrillers. If you are like me and love reading about messed up people and places in your spare time, whip out your Goodreads app and add these to your to-read list. You’ll thank me lates.

What To Do About Your Friend That Hates Bey
As one of my fave Facebook comedians Trey Moe says, a Beyoncé fan is never safe for a timeline full of haters. And for what reason? I’m not really even sure. i don’t think they love themselves, but that’s probably another blog for another day. When I wrote my previous primer on how to navigate the betrayal of significant others that don’t recognize an icon in their midst, I knew a sequel would be necessary.
